FLOORS OF REFRIGERATORS

The energy efficiency of refrigeration equipment depends on the thermotechnical properties and operational lifespan of the thermal insulation materials used in the facility enclosures housing refrigeration units. The primary reason for reduced refrigerator performance is moisture saturation of the thermal insulation layer. Thanks to the PNP XPS floor system's efficient insulation and moisture resistance, the heat transfer lines of the heat pump system can be installed directly beneath the building.

RECONSTRUCTION AND THERMAL INSULATION OF EXISTING ROOFS

This innovative system enables repairs without removing the existing roofing structure, providing a stable roof for roofs that have deteriorated over time and reducing both labor costs and waste disposal expenses. It can be installed independently, using the original base that includes the aged bituminous waterproofing layer and PVC membrane, reducing the risk of cracking and recurring failures common with traditional bituminous materials. It is particularly suitable when the existing thermal insulation still retains its essential properties. To protect the PVC waterproofing, installing walkways along the necessary passage routes is recommended.

THERMAL-INSULATING INSERTS

Monolithic floor slabs create thermal bridges that compromise the building's thermal insulation, leading to significant heat loss during operation. The PNP system for installing floor slabs within the building envelope uses precisely positioned thermal-insulating inserts made of durable, effective materials. These measures improve the thermotechnical consistency of the structure and help ensure the required heat-transfer resistance. PNP thermal-insulating inserts are widely used in civil construction to ensure optimal thermal uniformity of the building envelope and reduce heat loss through monolithic elements such as floor slabs, balcony slabs, stylobates, and parapets.

THERMAL INSULATION OF ROAD STRUCTURES ON HEAVING SOILS

A reliable system for road construction on heaving soils. It helps reduce the heave during the structure's freezing. It offers frost resistance without labor-intensive and costly backfill processes. The PNP system decreases the depth of seasonal freezing or completely prevents freezing of the base soil.

LIGHTWEIGHT EARTH FILLS

Constructing roads, intersections, and bridges on unstable foundations, such as soft soils, presents significant challenges for road crews. These soils are typically found in coastal regions, marshy areas, and zones with high groundwater levels. Soft soils with a deformation modulus below 5 MPa can cause settlements and deformations to exceed standard limits due to excessive gravity-induced pressure on the earthfill. A modern solution is to replace the bulk soil with lightweight PNP XPS material. This method offers benefits such as reduced labor and overall construction costs, with the volumetric weight of PNP XPS up to 70 times that of traditional soil. Lightweight blocks made of PNP extruded polystyrene foam are an excellent alternative to earth fill. This lightweight earth fill is placed on a lightweight base that includes a drainage layer of geosynthetics or crushed rock. Geogrid reinforcement is applied to the layers beneath the road surface, with additional slope strengthening as needed. Using a profiled membrane further enhances structural reinforcement. Surface runoff should be directed to drainage devices, such as trays and channels, at the slope bases.

WINDOW AND DOOR BAYS

Modern multi-chamber double-glazed windows ensure structural tightness and high heat-transfer resistance, yet the junction between the window frame and the wall remains cold. A common cause of heat loss is cracks and voids on unfinished slope surfaces.
To eliminate these negative factors, it is necessary to ensure the wall's thermal uniformity. To do this, a layer of PNP XPS thermal insulation is installed on the slopes.

THERMAL INSULATION OF BALCONIES, LOGGIA

Several apartment buildings have rarely used their additional spaces, such as balconies and loggias. By installing thermal insulation and high-quality glazing, these spaces can be converted into valuable living spaces. PNP XPS is easy to install and eliminates cold bridges thanks to the L-shaped edges of the slab, which have low thermal conductivity and virtually zero water absorption, ensuring the stability of the material's thermal and geometric properties.
